Spring cleaning

What does Spring cleaning mean to you? For me, it's a constant battle to keep my house in a condition ready to receive friends should they choose to pop by. With my active and happy children, this is not always an easy challenge. I really try to keep at least one room free from messy hands and discarded food items. If you are lucky enough with space, dedicate an area that your children do not feel the need to invade. What tips do you have for keeping one step ahead of this never ending challange?
